The Duplex - New York's Legendary Piano Bar

About:
The Duplex, New York City's world famous cabaret and piano bar, is located in the heart of West Greenwich Village in Manhattan.
The ever popular Duplex boasts a piano bar with open mic every night of the week, an upstairs bar and an intimate off-Broadway cabaret theatre, all hosted by New York's friendliest staff.
Piano Bar:
Every night beginning at 9:00 PM, the fabulous Duplex staff (comprised of some of Manhattan's elite pianists and singers) hosts a non-stop party in the Piano Bar, one of the only places in town where you can watch your bartender serve your drink and belt out a pop tune--at the same time! It's no wonder that the Piano Bar attracts so many top Broadway talents, who frequently stop in on an informal basis to try out a song or two.
Cabaret Theatre:
The Duplex Cabaret Theatre is a 70 seat off-Broadway venue that features performances of all types nightly. From our humble beginnings in the 50's, under the auspicies of Hal Holbrook, the Duplex's first Booking Manager, DCT has served as a jewel in the crown of the NYC cabaret world for over fifty years. Performers such as Barbra Steisand, Woody Allen, Joanne Worley, Lovelady Powell, KT Sullivan, Karen Mason and Lea Delaria all are Duplex alumns. Also in the past, DCT audiences were lucky enough to catch premiere versions of hits like NUNSENSE, HELLO MUDDAH! HELLO FADDAH!, and a slew of other new shows.
More recently, DCT has been the venue of choice for the award-winning NEW MONDAYS series, featuring new work from composers both up and coming and legendary, from Frank Wildhorn to Stephen Schwartz, Charles Strouse to Galt MacDermot, Jason Robert Brown, Michael John LaChiusa, Andrew Lippa and many others.
