An original "lounge-o-billy" revue at The Duplex Cabaret. The Maxes, a Manhattan-based husband-and-wife duo whose music has been described as having "a frantic electric energy and a sound like a revving 1950 Cadillac covered in leopard skin," will appear in their new 60-minute revue, "Mad About The Maxes."
The revue will showcase material from their 4 albums dealing with such subjects as cats, silent movies, death, vacations, Olive Oyl, big beautiful women, hamburgers and more on at the legendary Duplex Cabaret. The Maxes, formed in 2004 by singer/guitarist/vocalist Josh Max and vocalist Julie James, have performed at Joe�s Pub, headlined at Central Park Summerstage and hundeds of other venues in and around the New York area as well as internationally.
