The Groundlings began as the Gary Austin Workshop in 1972. As the improvisation classes became increasingly popular, a core group of performers began to showcase their material at various spaces for invited audiences. In 2004, The Groundlings celebrated their 30 years of uninterrupted success as L.A’.s premier comedy troupe and that tradition continues in 2009 with the current productions on offer below.
