Old school singjay reggae legend, Eek-A-Mouse and hot new indy singer-songwriter, Ryan DeMont meet in a rare performance sound clash at the legendary Roxy on the Sunset Strip. Sound clashes are normally reserved for the yards of Jamaica and the back alleys of Brixton, however, on this rare occasion, roots reggae is stacked against gripping indy acoustic rock. A solo artist at the moment, Ryan DeMont commands attention with his sincere performances and honest songwriting. His songs are a mirror into his soul, as he is utterly transparent in his songwriting, and brings the same approach to the stage. Legendary Eek-A-Mouse (born Ripton Hilton November 19, 1957 in Kingston, Jamaica) is one of Jamaica's premier reggae stars. He is responsible for the creation of the reggae sub-genre singjaying. He is still reputed to perform more than 200 shows in a year in America, The Netherlands, Germany, the UK and the West Indies. |
