WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 29, 2008

Greenway Arts presents the world premiere of Good Bobby, recounting the formative adult years of Robert F. Kennedy, one of history's great "what ifs."

Good Bobby," playwright Brian Lee Franklin explores the younger Kennedy's legacy and also performs the title role. The play follows RFK’s rise to national prominence, from chasing Jimmy Hoffa, his battles during the civil rights era as U.S. Attorney General, his involvement in his brother John’s presidential campaign, the aftermath of JFK’s assassination, and Bobby’s gradual ascension in the Democratic Party, resulting in his becoming its presidential nominee in 1968.

Greenway’s mission is to utilize the performing arts to build community between a broad constituency of artists, educators, community members and students; to produce inspiring professional theatre and performing arts productions that represent and reflect the rich diversity of LA.
