Dart Music International is an Austin-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that works with small indie/rock/pop bands from around the world. We make it possible for them to come to Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico by decreasing costs on things like visas, logistics, and other services while increasing opportunities to earn some income through paying gigs and merchandise sales. The mission of DMI is to enrich the cultural quality of life for all members of our community, irrespective of socio-economic status, by collaborating with international musical artists to introduce their culture to the people of our region. The primary goal of the Texas Children's Cancer Center and Hematology Service's Arts In Medicine (AIM) Program is to provide enjoyable, educational and meaningful artisitic opportunities to patients and their families.

Artistic activities by and for children create opportunities for self expression, empowerment and development of coping skills. Making music, singing songs, performing dance, producing plays, writing and telling stories, and decorating spaces with visual art enhances the healing environment and treatment experience.
